Such a sad looking master! Our king bed is amazing and we love the bedding we have as well.. but it doesn't feel like a true master. Where's the impact? Not anywhere to be seen, that's for sure! So, off we went on a mission to build a frame for our existing upholstered headboard. And the results are fabulous!
But first, here are a few progress shots. This is not going to be a tutorial because I already shared the plans I used (modified from tutorial here) but I wanted to show you how we got from the 'before' to the 'after'.
I apologize for the terrible lighting in our garage. We did all of the work at night and it's seriously lacking light other than a couple of fluorescent fixtures. Also, you can see my hubby hard at work in the photo above. I'm sure he's going to love *feel the sarcasm* that I had any part of him in a picture.. but that's what he gets for being on his phone when we were supposed to be working!
And without further ado, I'd like to introduce you to my new love: our headboard. Voila!
BAM! If that isn't a statement, I don't know what is! Love it, love it! Excuse me while I go pet it for a minute...
Ok, I'm back. Isn't it luuuurvely?! I'm dying over here. The best part is that I get to cuddle with it all night long :o) So there you have it, a statement piece for our master bedroom. You'll see that the pictures are labeled as 'progress' not 'after'. This is only because we still need wall art and I want to re-finish the end tables to match. But we can really call it done-for-now!
Well, I'm off to go love on it one more time. While I do that, you can ogle the total package one more time...
